Here’s the bullet point summary of how to do a Pro Marketing Video for your cleaning business:

* Write your script

* Go to Fiverr.com and get a voiceover of the script done

* Take your script to an animator (also on Fiverr.com) and get your video animated in sync with your voiceover

* Celebrate more business!

Writing your script

Write your marketing video script. You can probably find someone online to do this for you or follow the general format of the video I’ve posted here. My apologies for the lack of expertise in this area but this is how I went about writing mine. I’ll also try to provide resources at the bottom of this section if I can find better content on how to write a marketing/promotional video.

Format:

– Ask questions that expose the pain of your customers (any situations that have them needing a clean home) – you can state these pains if you like as well but make your customers conciously think about the exact problem you’re solving for them

– Suggest how nice it would be if they had a solution (like reliable, convenient cleaning)

– Present your solution and its benefits

– Go through how easy your process is or what makes working with your company special

Getting the voiceover done

Once you have your video script ready to go visit www.Fiverr.com. Fiverr is a great service where people can get on and offer various gigs for $5 each. Among these gigs are professional voiceovers and animations. $5 typically gets you 1 minute of voiceover so it’s likely this will cost $10 total for you.

On Fiverr go to the Testimonials and Voiceover sections and order everyone by “Highest Rated”. This will show you the $5 gigs that have gotten primarily 5 star reviews and are 99.9% sure to be worthwhile without causing you a headache.

Personally I opened up about 5 different Fiverr gigs and listened to the voices to see which was a good fit for our video.

–——————————————————————————–

VOICEOVER TIP: When you listen to these gigs close your eyes. What you see on the screen will throw off your auditory perception so to be a fair judge you have to close your eyes and envision the script being read in that voice.

–——————————————————————————–

On the script itself you will need to instruct your voiceover artist on the tonality you want parts of the script in. The video I linked above actually didn’t come out exactly as I would have liked because my preference would have been to make the opening questions sound more painful and dire (let’s be honest, whose happy about their in-laws being on the way to their home?)

Getting your voiceover animated

Once you get the voiceover back you’re almost done! Now it’s time to find an animation artist to make your video. For me this cost $15. Same as before you’ll want to hop on trusty of Fiverr.com and look up the graphics and animations section. Here you’ll find multiple listings for professionals that do “Whiteboard animations” usually for $5 per 30 seconds or 1 minute. There are also multiple other offerings for kinds of animations that might work for you depending on what you want.

Similar to the voiceover you’ll want to give as detailed instructions as possible to your animator. One of the nice things is they usually have access to a ton of stock photos so you can “I want a surfer on this slide to appear with these words”.

At the very least you should let them know what words you want emphasized and for best results you’ll want to create basic versions of the slides you’re looking for using Microsoft Word or PowerPoint. In the video provided I let the animator know which words I specifically wanted to be shown with the voiceover and the end result was quite pleasing.
